The tranquil setting of Villa Toba, at the end of a tree-lined avenue, creates a peaceful retreat in the heart of Seminyak; an area famous for its long sandy beach, world-class restaurants, trendy bars and designer boutiques. Named after Southeast Asia’s largest lake, Donau Toba, nestled in a huge volcanic crater in North Sumatra, this villa has the largest swimming pool in the Lakshmi Villa enclave.

Built to contemporary Balinese design, the villa is an ode to tropical living, blending dark, natural wood with creamy stone, sprays of orchids and a handful of local artworks. A living pavilion open on the sides overlooks the swimming pool richly lined with pandanus palms and frangipani trees. Two spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms have charming garden bathrooms. A long-standing staff offers you a warm welcome and discreet professional service. The villa has a shared kitchen with minibar and free tea and coffee, while an executive chef prepares delicious meals in the staff kitchen from an extensive à la carte menu including Western and Asian dishes.

Whether you want to stroll through the world-class restaurants of Eat Street, shop to your heart’s content, relax on the beach or sip cocktails at sunset, the opportunities offered by a stay at Villa Toba are endless.

A swimming pool surrounded by tropical gardens and a wooden terrace form a central feature of this single-storey villa, with an open-plan living room and kitchen on one side, and two adjoining bedrooms on the other.

The villa’s two air-conditioned bedrooms are identical in size and features, with high ceilings and smooth ivory-colored stone floors. The king-size beds (one of which can be converted into twin beds) are draped in silky mosquito nets and dressed in crisp white linens and luxury pillows. Comfortable chairs form a seating area, and a flat-screen satellite TV with DVD player provides entertainment. Charming semi-outdoor garden bathrooms feature marble floors, soaking tubs, walk-in rain showers, and custom amenities.

The entrance to Villa Toba leads into a tropical-style, fan-cooled living pavilion with cool stone floors and a steeply pitched roof supported by sturdy teak wood columns. Two rattan sofas covered with colorful cushions make up a relaxing seating area arranged around a wooden coffee table. A polished wood dining table seats six, and a sideboard displays magazines, Balinese-themed books, and an iPod dock. A shared kitchen with granite countertops adjoins the living room and provides all the essentials for making tea and coffee, cold drinks from the mini bar or preparing a quick meal. The living room overlooks the swimming pool and walled garden, where an elaborate Palimanan frieze is framed by lush foliage and four parasol-shaded lounge chairs are arranged on the wooden pool deck.

One of the biggest benefits of staying in a villa is the personalized service provided by dedicated staff. The long-standing Toba villa team has been professionally trained and will do everything possible to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.

Villa Manager

Toba’s friendly manager, Mr. Agus, has been at the villas since day one and is responsible for the entire operation. Her job is to supervise and coordinate staff and property and assist guests during their stay. He is in the villa office every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The private chef

The villa’s qualified private chef, Nyoman, will be happy to prepare Western, Asian and vegetarian à la carte menus, and discuss special requests, children’s meals and dietary requirements. He is assisted by the cook Winata.

Supervisors

Two villa supervisors, Astawa and Wiratmaja, organize guest activities, supervise other staff members and assist the villa manager. Butlers Five friendly butlers take care of daily housekeeping and domestic duties in all villas.

Garden and swimming pool

A gardener maintains the lush gardens and swimming pools at Toba Villas. Maintenance Full-time maintenance man to provide immediate attention to any maintenance.

Security

Part of the Laksmana Private Villas estate, Villa Solo is secured by a team of professional guards who monitor the entrance to the estate.
